THE PORTER THEATER

The Porter Theater is located at 201 East Fairview Avenue Connellsville, Pennsylvania. The Theater was named in honor of Edwin S. Porter, from Connellsville, who directed the first major motion picture "The Great Train Robbery". The Theater seats 800 people in the orignal seats. There is air conditioning and heating available. With an up-to-date sound system and proceding with updating lighting systems to make your theater experience enjoyable. With the help of electronics tech at the the connellsville area career tech center by wiring mic cables and patch cables for dmx lights. We also had help from HVAC classes for our heating and ventilating system. We are hoping to get a new pinrail system on stage to update the Theater in the near future.
